Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jean Fernandez got the match started through his kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Fernandez in the 5th minute of play. Diego Petrini came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean Fernandez. Daniel Zorita scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diego Petrini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Jean Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Jean Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 minutes, José Breckenfeld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, José Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Petrini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s Cléber Melo got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 38th minute, Ecuador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jean Fernandez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diego Petrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When Jean Fernandez fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s protests and gave Jean Fernandez a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jean Fernandez. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s goalkeeper Diego Petrini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 69 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. made a substitution.
