After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, José Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diego Petrini was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean Fernandez in the 15th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 17 minutes into the match, José Breckenfeld had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Breckenfeld was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The supporters of Ecuador booed when IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Petrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Petrini saved IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s Jean Fernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Diego Petrini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jean Fernandez to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Honorato Landa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 55 minutes into the match, IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s goalkeeper Diego Petrini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Pedrinho do Valle hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Fernandez in the 59th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cléber Melo in the 60th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Diego Petrini despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Fernandez in the 74th minute of play. IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Agustín Saelices scored to the left of an out of position Diego Petrini, making the score, 2-3. IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s Remigio Intxixu was substituted for Betão Catarinense. IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. made a substitution. Guga Gaúcho replaced Dudu Britto. IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. made a substitution. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
