Kjell Fribäck was slow to take the kick. During this time BELAJ BOYS's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on BELAJ BOYS's corner Kjell Fribäck fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Sixten Arhenius hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Fabian Gurgul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Björn Mårtensson in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Esbjörn Apelquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavril Tomozei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sixten Arhenius kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Apelquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Björn Mårtensson. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 27th minute, Valter Rosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esbjörn Apelquist. BELAJ BOYS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Sixten Arhenius's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sixten Arhenius helped the player get up and apologised. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Björn Mårtensson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Esbjörn Apelquist in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 56th playminute. In the 61st minute, Sixten Arhenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes BELAJ BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Marc Biörkquist. Esbjörn Apelquist was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daniel Zorita. In the 65th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Mårtensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The BELAJ BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, BELAJ BOYS's Sixten Arhenius got a free kick in the 74th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Mårtensson in the 76th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Agustín Saelices in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Esbjörn Apelquist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Esbjörn Apelquist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 82 minute of play. Zaaki Zakas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
