The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when Haiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernso Constant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haiti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Svante Pihlgren scored to the left of an out of position Noel Seide, making the score, 1-0. With a little luck, Haiti's Noel Seide got control of the ball when Marko Norström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Noel Seide was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tobias Forssberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svante Pihlgren in the 19th minute of play. Anders Svensson scored 3-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noel Seide, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Brothers of Mercy's Noel Seide threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Svante Pihlgren, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Noel Seide came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Brothers of Mercy's Mikael Åkesson. But to his dismay, Mikael Åkesson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 28th minute, Marko Norström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brothers of Mercy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Noel Seide made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marko Norström in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Svante Pihlgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Noel Seide. Haiti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Svante Pihlgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After 38 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Jean Marie Alcius. A hard shot 43 in the game by Marko Norström from a close distance when the talented Noel Seide managed to make a qualified save. Haiti's players were relieved. Anders Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Noel Seide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Haiti's Jean Claude Ulysse got a free kick in the 45th minute. Mikael Åkesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Seide having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
If Marko Norström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd match minute, Brothers of Mercy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Forssberg to maneuver through the defense. After 55 minutes, Tobias Forssberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brothers of Mercy and the Haiti players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute of the match, Jonathan Alphonse tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Karl-Erik Kihlman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 59 minutes into the match, Haiti's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Svensson came free, but Noel Seide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haiti's Noel Seide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Norström in the 60th minute of play. Noel Seide came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Brothers of Mercy's Tobias Forssberg. But to his dismay, Tobias Forssberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. In the 89th minute, Jonathan Alphonse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Noel Seide didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Svante Pihlgren went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Brothers of Mercy had played much better football throughout.
