After some careless play in the Panama defense, Nivaldo Lameirinhas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. União Desportiva Airão's Victorino Ebardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Abraham Alguacil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorino Ebardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abraham Alguacil in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victorino Ebardo saved União Desportiva Airão from getting behind. Nivaldo Lameirinhas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. 22 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nivaldo Lameirinhas. Wilson Dantas took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Victorino Ebardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 33rd minute of play. Nivaldo Lameirinhas scored 3-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nivaldo Lameirinhas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. Aaron Barrios hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nivaldo Lameirinhas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aaron Barrios kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 54th minute of the match Gualter Moutinho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, União Desportiva Airão's goalkeeper Victorino Ebardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. After a rather tough play, União Desportiva Airão's Ademar Bulhosa got a free kick in the 71st minute. Victorino Ebardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 82 minutes into the match, União Desportiva Airão's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Victorino Ebardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, União Desportiva Airão's goalkeeper Victorino Ebardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 92ndth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but União Desportiva Airão's Victorino Ebardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, René Orságh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorino Ebardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 94th minute of play. After having played for 97 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
