After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 29th minute. Jorge Cutberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abraham Alguacil in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 48th minute, Panama's Aaron Barrios seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aaron Barrios the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Panama protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aaron Barrios had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. RIVER PINAMAR fc's Aleksander Piszczor was substituted for Juliano Álvarez. In the 47th minute, one of Panama:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Panama.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aleksander Piszczor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Tomas Berganza took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Jorge Cutberto to make any attempt to save it. Eugenio Baristo charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
