The shot was a little too simple and Noel Seide could save by the left post. 江希宽's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noel Seide read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, 傅正海 took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Noel Seide to make any attempt to save it. Haiti's Noel Seide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Haiti from getting a goal against them. When 肖青强 came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the 【粤】Leeds United.F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 肖青强 couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute 肖青强 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Seide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernso Constant hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 肖青强 in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Haiti getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Saint Jean Pierre hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Haiti's Jean Claude Ulysse got a free kick in the 40th minute. If 江希宽 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 肖青强 to make the kick off. Noel Seide made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0.
