Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by Colombia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elin Elin was slow to take the kick. During this time Zamalek FC's players had a chance to rest. Elin Elin made a great header on Zamalek FC's corner, it was just that Colombia's Pedro Manzanares managed to reach the ball for a save. Davis Duff's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davis Duff helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davis Duff to maneuver through the defense. Reese Otto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Lane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Reese Otto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Zamalek FC's Reese Otto. But to his dismay, Reese Otto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Leonardo Lane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Leonardo Lane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonardo Lane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Sergey Krasinskiy in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rhys Dimmock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute, Abram Sarmiento made a precise shot to the right of Rhys Dimmock. Zamalek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Zamalek FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Zamalek FC's goalie and right to Luis Cazalla. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Zamalek FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Rhys Dimmock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 57th minute of the match. Axel Montenegros short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Rhys Dimmock to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Leonardo Lane kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia made a substitution. Rhys Dimmock made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Abram Secada sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Abram Secada sped through Zamalek FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rhys Dimmock. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Colombia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
