Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Waldir Urbano started the match with the kick off. Agustín Saelices took the ball and in the 2 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silverio Corderun. Silverio Corderun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Corderun having to interfere. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Corderun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldir Urbano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. 22 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Urbano came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silverio Corderun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Tasso FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Silverio Corderun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the game, Waldir Urbano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 38th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Corderun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Antunes during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 50th minute, one of Tasso FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tasso FC. 52 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silverio Corderun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Waldir Urbano might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waldir Urbano ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldir Urbano in the 56th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Berkin Dilsafa fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tasso FC's protests and gave Berkin Dilsafa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tasso FC's Berkin Dilsafa got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Normando Fiúza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tasso FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Tasso FC's Pinto Valer was substituted for Caio Mendes. Normando Fiúza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Normando Fiúza in the 94th minute of play. The Tasso FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
