The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Funes got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Colombia's attentive Kevin Mastache managed to snatch the ball when Arano Abendano made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Enrique. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Arano Abendano got a free kick in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Barovero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelo Barovero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Barovero saved River CBBA from getting behind. Marcelo Barovero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Barovero was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Varis Birgelis in the 45th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Varis Birgelis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Varis Birgelis really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Funes to make the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. Axel Montenegro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 57 minutes in the game Matías Almeida did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Arano Abendano. In the 59th minute Varis Birgelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Garrido, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by River CBBA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of River CBBA's goalie and right to Pascual Carballar. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. River CBBA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 64 minutes into the match, Abram Sarmiento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo Barovero, 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Marcelo Barovero in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ponciano Abarca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 89th minute of play. After some careless play in the River CBBA defense, Ignacio Mastache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Barovero. The River CBBA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Barovero should have stopped the shot. After 94 played minutes River CBBA got a freekick which was hit by Matías Almeida. The Colombia players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented River CBBA from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
