Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Chile booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Majkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Mariano Lacasa put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Josef Witlatschil. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josef Witlatschil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute Pentti Ojala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 played minutes Tiger got a freekick which was hit by Mikael Siltavirta. After 92 minutes of play, Tiger's Iwo Sawicki made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christo Bothenhain in the 98th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
