The audience thought a goal was coming when 莫默广 got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Leguizamón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 曾诚枫 in the 7th minute of the match. Cirilo Ranolfo hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Leguizamón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Deportivo David Mardel fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
