When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalie prevented a goal. After 18 minutes DIPLOMATA FC PAB's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Luis Andino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Chico Donato in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After 23 minutes, Roberto Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DIPLOMATA FC PAB and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Roberto Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chico Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 25th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Lopes in the 34th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Roberto Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chico Donato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Lopes in the 40th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Chico Donato. 47 minutes into the match, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Chico Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Roberto Lopes made the kick off in the second half. Roberto Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Song Xiong Hong in the 58th minute. A nice corner shot did that Song Xiong Hong got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when DIPLOMATA FC PAB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 61st minute of play forced DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper Chico Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustín Saelices in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chico Donato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 67th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Roberto Lopes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. 72 minutes into the match, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Chico Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador played a much better game than DIPLOMATA FC PAB and deserved their victory. The DIPLOMATA FC PAB players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
