The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Doğuhan Serbülend dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Steve De Wilde, 1-0. Pan Jian Yong scored 1-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Okanalp Çağman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th minute Doğuhan Serbülend shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve De Wilde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lions United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ignat Mankov was slow to take the kick. During this time Fear Of The Dark's players had a chance to rest. Fear Of The Dark's Ignat Mankov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Steve De Wilde in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Steve De Wilde made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Doğuhan Serbülend sent off a good shot on target. Okanalp Çağman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pan Jian Yong in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lions United's goalkeeper Steve De Wilde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Fear Of The Dark's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Okanalp Çağman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doğuhan Serbülend might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steve De Wilde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doğuhan Serbülend ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the match, Lions United's goal looked a bit too open when Doğuhan Serbülend came free, but Steve De Wilde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Okanalp Çağman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pan Jian Yong, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Lions United's Pan Jian Yong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Okanalp Çağman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pablo Solari during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Lions United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Solari to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Xavier Pestana got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After the first half Lions United were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Doğuhan Serbülend made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Fear Of The Dark's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Okanalp Çağman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve De Wilde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğuhan Serbülend in the 56th minute of play. Fear Of The Dark made a substitution. Bayan Gol replaced Doğuhan Serbülend. Fear Of The Dark's Güngör İşkembeci was substituted for Ignat Mankov. Okanalp Çağman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pan Jian Yong, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Steve De Wilde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bayan Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fear Of The Dark's Okanalp Çağman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Solari in the 68th minute of play. Fear Of The Dark's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xavier Pestana in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the game, Lions United's Pan Jian Yong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Okanalp Çağman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Okanalp Çağman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Eleazar in the 76th minute. Xavier Pestana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve De Wilde having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Önder Ünlü in the 86th minute of play forced Lions United's goalkeeper Steve De Wilde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pan Jian Yong came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Lions United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pan Jian Yong couldn't finish the play. Pan Jian Yong took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Okanalp Çağman. Okanalp Çağman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The Lions United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lions United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
