A collision led to Basmane Texas getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ulvi Gencal hit a great ball. Franco Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Refugio Pagan, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gürsel Aksel in the 15th minute of play. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürsel Aksel in the 18th minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, KOCAELİSPOR's Refugio Pagan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Armani was left in no man's land by his defense there! The throw-in from Nelson Rufino in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by KOCAELİSPOR's Ediz Tekdoğan. Refugio Pagan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basmane Texas's Franco Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Refugio Pagan in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's Refugio Pagan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franco Armani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

51 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when 克鲁李 Caan came free, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute of the match Basmane Texas got a corner. KOCAELİSPOR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Borys Budarz ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Basmane Texas's corner Borys Budarz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Şemsettin Tuyuğ quite easily take care of the ball. Gürsel Aksel might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şemsettin Tuyuğ. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gürsel Aksel ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gürsel Aksel got free with Şemsettin Tuyuğ in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Franco Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Refugio Pagan in the 56th minute of play. Refugio Pagan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Armani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Franco Armani came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by KOCAELİSPOR's Refugio Pagan. But to his dismay, Refugio Pagan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. KOCAELİSPOR's Rafet Hazin was substituted for Ediz Tekdoğan. In the 65th minute Gürsel Aksel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Basmane Texas booed when KOCAELİSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davut Erek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Şemsettin Tuyuğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürsel Aksel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franco Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Refugio Pagan in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Refugio Pagan notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Basmane Texas's Franco Armani. Franco Armani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
