The supporters of Los Muchachos del 86 booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şevket Çağa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Paolo Caradaro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Atahan Balon. The goal made the score 1-0. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asiz Soon in the 14th minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Brion in the 15th minute of the match. Club Atlético Atlanta were furious when Rosendo Cutberto was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 16th minute, one of Club Atlético Atlanta:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atlético Atlanta. Saverio Brion took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pankracy Glogowski. Pankracy Glogowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Brion in the 26th minute of the match. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albino Peruanton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pankracy Glogowski came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Los Muchachos del 86's Ricardo-Enrique Bochini. But to his dismay, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Hermengildo Erroman got a free kick in the 35th minute. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Urtzi in the 36th minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saverio Brion's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Márcico in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo-Enrique Bochini in the 47th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Berdoi couldn't finish the play. Marcos Berdoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Bencivenni came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Paolo Caradaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Muchachos del 86 played a much better game than Club Atlético Atlanta and deserved their victory. The Club Atlético Atlanta players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
