Edmond Verdun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfredo Gau in the 21st minute. 21 minutes into the game, Godfredo Gau recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edmond Verdun. Godfredo Gau showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Defensores de Lombroso's goalkeeper Denis Paulin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denis Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Gines in the 25th minute of play. Denis Paulin came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Errecaborda AFC's Victorino Sandalio. But to his dismay, Victorino Sandalio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Defensores de Lombroso's Denis Paulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Sandalio in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Ado in the 36th minute of play forced Defensores de Lombroso's goalkeeper Denis Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prospero Jerardo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When Prospero Jerardo came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Errecaborda AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Jerardo couldn't finish the play. Denis Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Sandalio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Lombroso's Teofilo Esdras got a free kick in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lionel-Andrés Messi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Teofilo Esdras kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Denis Paulin made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Isidro Gines sent off a good shot on target. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Esdras in the 60th minute of play. Defensores de Lombroso's Alan Varela was substituted for Teofilo Esdras. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Errecaborda AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Godfredo Gau was slow to take the kick. During this time Defensores de Lombroso's players had a chance to rest. Lucio Cordarrol made a great header on Defensores de Lombroso's corner, it was just that Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun managed to reach the ball for a save. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Denis Paulin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Denis Paulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Sandalio in the 66th minute of the match. Victorino Sandalio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Paulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Sandalio, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Lombroso's Ubaldo Gelacio got a free kick in the 74th minute. Denis Paulin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pastor Ado. After 85 minutes, Pastor Ado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Errecaborda AFC and the Defensores de Lombroso players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Errecaborda AFC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Pastor Ado hit a great ball. Errecaborda AFC's Rogelio Jakes was substituted for Aírton Urbano. In the 87th minute, Pastor Ado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Godfredo Gau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Errecaborda AFC booed when Defensores de Lombroso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lionel-Andrés Messi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
