Dário Barral took the corner. Gerson Queiroz hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™'s goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Iwan Banaszak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Chile's Orlando Casaus to fire away a dangerous shot which Iwan Banaszak despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Iwan Banaszak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Barral in the 36th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. Orlando Casaus was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Francisco Carballar hit a great ball. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cecilio Fliz in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Iwan Banaszak made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. The corner led to Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iwan Banaszak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. After 81 minutes, Mariano Lacasa made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™'s Iwan Banaszak tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mariano Lacasa scored 2-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iwan Banaszak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 91 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iwan Banaszak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Francisco Carballar charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Carballar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
