Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Montay in the 47th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute Campus Douro Academy were awarded a corner. André Pestana went to the cornerflag to take it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Moises Fernandino made the kick off in the second half.
