Maximino Cesario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olgierd Wozniak in the 21st minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wes Lieckens. Olgierd Wozniak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Maximino Cesario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 37th minute of play. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 38th minute. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Maximino Cesario despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kent Stuckens. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wes Lieckens in the 44th minute. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wes Lieckens to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Bill Hofnagels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Maximino Cesario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wes Lieckens in the 63rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69thth minute of the game Wes Lieckens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olgierd Wozniak in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Cesario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 94 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. La masia had won after a very even match.
