Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Francisco Seco got the match started through his kick off. Champions Iasi's Broderick Ceney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 4th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Gierlach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Jacinto Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Champions Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 16 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Romero. A throw-in in the 17th minute of the game was made by Eusebiu Crăciunaș with Bérenger Pilet as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jacinto Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eusebiu Crăciunaș, made in the 24th minute of the game. Bérenger Pilet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Waldemar Gierlach spun around in front of the goal 33 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Uruguay's goal. Waldemar Gierlach's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Gierlach in the 38th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Gierlach in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Broderick Ceney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Champions Iasi's Jacinto Romero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eusebiu Crăciunaș, made in the 53rd minute of the game. Waldemar Gierlach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Broderick Ceney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Sainz hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Champions Iasi's Alessandro Sarmento couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Uruguay. After 70 minutes of play, Champions Iasi's Waldemar Gierlach made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Gierlach came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Gierlach in the 77th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Gierlach in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Champions Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gheorghe Chifu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Waldemar Gierlach ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 89 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Broderick Ceney had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Escribano got free with Broderick Ceney in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard and well directed shot from Alessandro Sarmento led 95 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 5-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uruguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Champions Iasi.
