Panama's Abraham Alguacil couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Champions Iasi. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Gierlach, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th match minute, Champions Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Romero to maneuver through the defense. Broderick Ceney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The Champions Iasi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Broderick Ceney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Miralles in the 67th minute of the match. Pavel Buculeasa charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Champions Iasi's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
