Luciano Pirro scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximino Ticho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 35 minutes, Dariusz Wos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.C. Patagonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dariusz Wos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Nevada hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Racing Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of A.C. Patagonia:s goal. Cornelio Cordearo had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Rui Costa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 42 minutes into the game, A.C. Patagonia's Rui Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Cordearo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The throw-in from Camillo Terrasi in the 45th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Racing Club's Samuel Nevada. The supporters of A.C. Patagonia booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslaw Jajecznica didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Racing Club's Homer Field was substituted for Miroslaw Jajecznica. Racing Club's Ramiro Lano was substituted for Efmamjjasond Bronco. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luciano Pirro was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Di Carlo in the 69th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Cornelio Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximino Ticho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Homer Field, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuel Nevada kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Nevada to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Di Carlo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Di Carlo in the 79th minute of play. Horea Boian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Cordearo having to make a save. 87 minutes into the match, Aldo Di Carlo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo. Cornelio Cordearo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd minute, Aldo Di Carlo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornelio Cordearo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 97th minute of the match Racing Club got a corner. A.C. Patagonia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Nevada ran over to the corner to take the kick. Racing Club's Samuel Nevada was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Maximino Ticho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

A.C. Patagonia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
