In the 4th minute, David Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fynn John was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Atlético Mineiro's Fynn John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Aher in the 8th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Atlético Mineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Aher came free, but Fynn John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fynn John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavian Valerian in the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Atlético Mineiro's Antony Quaresma got a free kick in the 11th minute. After some careless play in the Atlético Mineiro defense, Octavian Valerian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fynn John. The Atlético Mineiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fynn John should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute, Tomé Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th match minute, Atlético Mineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzo Donis to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, David Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fynn John was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Atlético Mineiro's Olívio França got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fynn John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Aher in the 28th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomé Brasil during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Atlético Mineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Brasil to maneuver through the defense. Atlético Mineiro's Fynn John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Aher in the 31st minute of play. After 32 played minutes Atlético Mineiro got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Brasil. Falcão Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Sten Aher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fynn John read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Aher in the 37th minute of play forced Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Fynn John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olívio França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atlético Mineiro's Fynn John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Aher in the 40th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Atlético Mineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Valerian came free, but Fynn John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Fynn John made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Leite in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute, Olívio França made a precise shot to the right of Luís Fernando Amaral. CA Brasileiros Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 61st minute Octavian Valerian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fynn John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fynn John was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Sten Aher capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sten Aher really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. After 66 played minutes CA Brasileiros Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Odd. After 68 played minutes Sten Aher rounded Atlético Mineiro's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5. In the 71st minute of the match, Octavian Valerian got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fynn John was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fynn John made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Valerian in the 74th minute of play. After 74 played minutes Atlético Mineiro got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Brasil. CA Brasileiros Juniors made a substitution. Glenn Ottaway replaced David Leite. In the 76th minute, Tomé Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fynn John made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Aher in the 77th minute. In the 78th of the match, Glenn Ottaway tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Fynn John got in the way and made a wonderful save. Atlético Mineiro's Walmyr Guimarães was substituted for César de Queiroz. Olívio França blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Fernando Amaral having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Ottaway in the 91st minute of play forced Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Fynn John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Atlético Mineiro supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CA Brasileiros Juniors's performance. The match ended with a win for CA Brasileiros Juniors.
