In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Atlético Mineiro. Tomé Brasil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luís Fernando Amaral. 0-1. Fynn John made an important save on a dangerous shot by Glenn Ottaway in the 15th minute. If Sten Aher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Glenn Ottaway managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA Brasileiros Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glenn Ottaway was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. André Luís Best sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Atlético Mineiro's Huang Lin got a free kick in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, CA Brasileiros Juniors's Sten Aher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fynn John narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Ottaway in the 37th minute of play forced Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Fynn John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute CA Brasileiros Juniors were awarded a corner. Octavian Valerian went to the cornerflag to take it. When Glenn Ottaway came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the CA Brasileiros Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glenn Ottaway couldn't finish the play. Luís Fernando Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César de Queiroz in the 44th minute of the match. If Glenn Ottaway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sten Aher made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match CA Brasileiros Juniors got a corner. Atlético Mineiro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Octavian Valerian ran over to the corner to take the kick. 60 minutes into the game, Gonzo Donis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Mineiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Brasileiros Juniors the free kick. After 60 played minutes Atlético Mineiro got a freekick which was hit by Gonzo Donis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Aher in the 62nd minute of play forced Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Fynn John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to CA Brasileiros Juniors getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Octavian Valerian hit a great ball. Luís Fernando Amaral went to the wrong direction when Tomé Brasil was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 87 minutes CA Brasileiros Juniors's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomé Brasil who took care of the corner kick. After 88 played minutes Atlético Mineiro got a freekick which was hit by Gonzo Donis. After 90 minutes of play, CA Brasileiros Juniors's Fellipe Loyola made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fynn John was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fynn John came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by CA Brasileiros Juniors's Fellipe Loyola. But to his dismay, Fellipe Loyola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Atlético Mineiro's Fynn John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Loyola in the 99th minute of play. CA Brasileiros Juniors were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Atlético Mineiro for a fine match.
