It was a well-played corner which Pero Šiljak managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When Liu Xiang Zhen fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JEC - FC's protests and gave Liu Xiang Zhen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, JEC - FC's Liu Xiang Zhen got a free kick in the 38th minute. Julio Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st match minute, Landulfos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Pontes to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Julio Baptista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flávio de Azevedo was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Flávio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Baptista in the 46th minute of the match. Carlos Ramos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naldo da Silveira in the 54th minute. After 58 minutes Landulfos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Liu Xiang Zhen who took care of the corner kick. The corner led JEC - FC's Liu Xiang Zhen to fire away a dangerous shot which Flávio de Azevedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. JEC - FC's Carlos Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Pereira in the 59th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Landulfos FC's zone, Julio Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio de Azevedo came out of the goal and Julio Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of JEC - FC booed when Landulfos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Landulfos FC's Flávio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liu Xiang Zhen in the 64th minute of play. Flávio de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Landulfos FC's goalkeeper Flávio de Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led Landulfos FC's Emílio Maciel to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Ramos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 79 played minutes Landulfos FC got a freekick which was hit by Danilo de Godoi.
