Fynn John dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 11th minute of the match, César de Queiroz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but William Rosa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Mota in the 13th minute of play forced Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Fynn John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, José Augusto Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vila Mascote FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Mineiro the free kick. In the 23rd minute of the match, Olívio França got a very nice opportunity to score, but William Rosa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fynn John was left in no man's land by his defense there! 34 minutes into the match, Atlético Mineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Zhang Zheng Liang came free, but Fynn John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fynn John showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhang Zheng Liang, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Erasmo Santana made in the 39th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cleiton Vidal however managed to control. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olívio França stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vila Mascote FC played a much better game than Atlético Mineiro and deserved their victory. The Atlético Mineiro players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
