In the 13thth minute of the game Karl-Michael Helström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Best Ones's Juarês Fantini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, Alfredão Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Caco Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Straedelburgh's supporters rose to their feet, but Caco Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juarês Fantini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 21 minutes, Sílvio Ferrão made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. The Best Ones's Juarês Fantini tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 27 minutes of play, Straedelburgh's Sílvio Ferrão made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aderbal Santos made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Luizão Passos sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Straedelburgh booed when The Best Ones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The Best Ones's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
