In the 2nd minute Almir Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, BRASIL.Sp's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel de Godoi. BRASIL.Sp's Luís Guilherme Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel de Godoi in the 5th minute of play. After some careless play in the BRASIL.Sp defense, Abel de Godoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Guilherme Marques. The BRASIL.Sp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Guilherme Marques should have stopped the shot. Luís Guilherme Marques made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Abel de Godoi sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute of the match Olivedos got a corner. BRASIL.Sp's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luisinho Ceresso ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eusébio Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Abelardo Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to BRASIL.Sp getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Hugo Corrêa hit a great ball. Abelardo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fagondo Vasquez in the 27th minute of play. Luís Guilherme Marques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel de Godoi in the 29th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel de Godoi in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Guilherme Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abel de Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Guilherme Marques having to make a save. In the 41st minute, Abel de Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Abel de Godoi could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Luís Guilherme Marques however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, BRASIL.Sp's Hugo Corrêa got a free kick in the 45th minute. Abel de Godoi took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Guilherme Marques. Luís Guilherme Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
In the 52nd minute, Abel de Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Guilherme Marques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Olivedos's Abel de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Guilherme Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel de Godoi went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. BRASIL.Sp's Marcel Sanches was substituted for Eusébio Barros. A collision led to Olivedos getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Cássio Ferraz hit a great ball. BRASIL.Sp's Nilson Perez was substituted for Fagondo Vasquez. The referee ignored BRASIL.Sp's protests and gave Ernesto Illescas a yellow card for diving instead. Ernesto Illescas hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, BRASIL.Sp's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Godoi came free, but Luís Guilherme Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magno Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in BRASIL.Sp's zone, Abel de Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Guilherme Marques came out of the goal and Abel de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Guilherme Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel de Godoi in the 92nd minute of play forced BRASIL.Sp's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Olivedos fully deserved thier win.
