After 10 played minutes Bisca F.C got a freekick which was hit by Jefferson Damião. 14 minutes into the match, Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Mário Veiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrézinho Viana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mário Veiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrézinho Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Válter de Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bisca F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Messejana SportClub - DMZ the free kick. Mário Veiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Andrézinho Viana made a huge save. In the 32nd minute, Mário Veiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Messejana SportClub - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 34th minute, Válter Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute Doriva Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Sikström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Paulo Seco's late challenge caught a Bisca F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Paulo Seco helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Messejana SportClub - DMZ's José Paulo Seco got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Messejana SportClub - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Neno Ruychev came free, but Per-Olof Sikström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
