In the 10th minute Gică Moisescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dito Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Dragões Barbudos FC's Daniel Chaves got control of the ball when Álvaro Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Álvaro Gaspar got free with Daniel Chaves in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 18 minutes of play, VARGINHA FC's Álvaro Gaspar made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Chaves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dragões Barbudos FC's Daniel Chaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Dragões Barbudos FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to VARGINHA FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Mauro Galvão hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Olle in the 24th minute of play forced VARGINHA FC's goalkeeper Dito Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dragões Barbudos FC were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after VARGINHA FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Thomas Semeloglou took the corner. 30 minutes into the game, Álvaro Gaspar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Daniel Chaves. Álvaro Gaspar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Paulista in the 36th minute of play forced VARGINHA FC's goalkeeper Dito Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gică Moisescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Novaes having to interfere. Daniel Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Gaufred, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Luke Olle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Gică Moisescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Dito Novaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Josué Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Gaufred, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Luke Olle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patxi Palenzuela in the 87th minute of play. Gică Moisescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
