With his leg Fanis Geronimidis managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when VARGINHA FC's Álvaro Gaspar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Josué Paiva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fanis Geronimidis. That made the score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play.
