VARGINHA FC were furious when Davide Lucchetti was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Gaufred in the 14th minute of play forced Dragões Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Daniel Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvin Thedin in the 16th minute of the match. Daniel Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Gaufred in the 17th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Luke Olle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dito Novaes was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 23 minutes, Luke Olle made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. VARGINHA FC's Dito Novaes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Babür Kongurtay's late challenge caught a VARGINHA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Babür Kongurtay helped the player get up and apologised. VARGINHA FC's Juninho Leme was substituted for Otávio Netto. Daniel Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Gaufred in the 41st minute of the match. Dito Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babür Kongurtay, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Luke Olle made the kick off in the second half. With a left leg Daniel Chaves saved Dragões Barbudos FC from getting behind. Cristóvão de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Daniel Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Gaufred, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. VARGINHA FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
