Daniel Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Ferreira in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Idalécio Baldaia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guarei FC's Armando Ruano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Eduardo Nunes came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Daniel Chaves could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Dragões Barbudos FC's Cristóvão de Amorim got a free kick in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Ferreira in the 52nd minute of play forced Dragões Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Daniel Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Gomes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Ruano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Guarei FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Gomes came free, but Armando Ruano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Babür Kongurtay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragões Barbudos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Babür Kongurtay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Ruano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Dragões Barbudos FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Guarei FC throughout the match.
