The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute Pacuri SS were awarded a corner. Nando Bertassi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Pacuri SS's Oséias Brasil getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 13 minutes into the match, GLADIADORES's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis Munhoz came free, but Andrei Cerbu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wilson Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 16 minutes into the match, Pacuri SS's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Andrade came free, but Sebastião Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dênis Munhoz took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andrei Cerbu. Andrei Cerbu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 20th minute Wilson Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilson Andrade in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastião Terra saved Pacuri SS from getting behind. Andriy Shevchenko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Andrei Cerbu made a huge save. After 25 minutes GLADIADORES's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nando Bertassi who took care of the corner kick. 26 minutes into the match, Wilson Andrade notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Pacuri SS's Sebastião Terra. Sebastião Terra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 31 minutes Pacuri SS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Johannes Stein who took care of the corner kick. Sebastião Terra came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by GLADIADORES's Wilson Andrade. But to his dismay, Wilson Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Wilson Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 39 minutes into the match, Pacuri SS's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Andrade came free, but Sebastião Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastião Terra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Andrade in the 41st minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

55 minutes into the match, GLADIADORES's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Secco came free, but Andrei Cerbu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastião Terra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilson Andrade went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Pacuri SS defense, Wilson Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastião Terra. The Pacuri SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastião Terra should have stopped the shot. Andrei Cerbu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geovanni Barral's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. César Souto scored 1-5 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastião Terra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pacuri SS's goalkeeper Sebastião Terra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilson Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 77th minute Abel Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Cerbu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrei Cerbu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dênis Munhoz in the 79th minute of play. Pacuri SS's Naldo Custódio was substituted for Abel Secco. After having played for 88 minutes, Laércio Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pacuri SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laércio Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastião Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anacleto Rozarius in the 89th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Anacleto Rozarius notched a goal, 1-8, to the right of Pacuri SS's Sebastião Terra. Sebastião Terra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched GLADIADORES eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
