The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Enio Gomes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ernesto Vargas, 1-0. Jerônimo Moreno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Ernesto Vargas made a huge save. Ernesto Vargas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerônimo Moreno's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 15thth minute of the game Enio Gomes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NEGRITUDE FC's Ernesto Vargas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute Júnior Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genílson Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydney Queiroz made a great header on NEGRITUDE FC's corner, it was just that BARBARIDADE G.M.'s Genílson Dante managed to reach the ball for a save. When BARBARIDADE G.M.'s Jerônimo Moreno in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 32nd minute, Inácio Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 39 minutes, Enio Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BARBARIDADE G.M.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Enio Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Gomes in the 42nd minute of play forced NEGRITUDE FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sydney Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Jerônimo Moreno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sydney Queiroz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Enio Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurinho Hermes scored 3-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Vargas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ernesto Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute of the match Carlos Gamarra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernesto Vargas skillfully saved the ball. Ernesto Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Hermes in the 67th minute of the match. BARBARIDADE G.M.'s Genílson Dante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save BARBARIDADE G.M. from getting a goal against them. The BARBARIDADE G.M. fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when BARBARIDADE G.M.'s Mathias Moura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mathias Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ernesto Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. NEGRITUDE FC's Ernesto Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerônimo Moreno in the 84th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júnior Pereira during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, Carlos Gamarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, Maurinho Hermes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Ernesto Vargas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. BARBARIDADE G.M. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
