Maciej Żurawski scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Augusto Custódio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Augusto Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 18 played minutes Galo na Veia FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Rosado. João Augusto Custódio came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Galo na Veia FC™'s Maciej Żurawski. But to his dismay, Maciej Żurawski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 24 minutes of play, Galo na Veia FC™'s Maciej Żurawski made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Augusto Custódio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Barra Gøl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredinho Brodel in the 35th minute. Barra Gøl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Vítor Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 42nd minute, Flavinho Rosado made a precise shot to the right of João Augusto Custódio. E.C. Itajaí's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. João Augusto Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfried Spaniol in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Anderson Matorin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E.C. Itajaí's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galo na Veia FC™ the free kick. After 47 played minutes E.C. Itajaí got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Matorin. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maciej Żurawski made a kick off. Alfredinho Brodel charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredinho Brodel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th match minute, E.C. Maciej Żurawski hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Galo na Veia FC™'s Tiago Gabriel Branco got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 85 minutes, Maciej Żurawski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galo na Veia FC™ and the E.C. Itajaí players grew even worse after the yellow card.
