Academia B.F.'s Walmir Campidelis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ulysses Pernambucano in the 12 minute of the game. Academia B.F.'s Romário Félix got his second yellow card of the match in the 14th minute. The referee ordered Romário Félix off the ground. In the 17th minute, Önder Aksakal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Birmingham Railers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Johan Vollander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizão Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Johan Vollander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anakoz Amer went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anakoz Amer in the 28th minute of play forced Academia B.F.'s goalkeeper Johan Vollander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johan Vollander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ugo Fantozzi in the 31st minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Anakoz Amer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia B.F.'s Johan Vollander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 35 minutes, Anakoz Amer made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Academia B.F.'s Johan Vollander tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Academia B.F.'s Jeremias Porfirio got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Luizão Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 47 minutes into the match, Academia B.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luizão Alagoano came free, but Johan Vollander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Birmingham Railers FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Önder Aksakal was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Önder Aksakal in the 52nd minute of play forced Academia B.F.'s goalkeeper Johan Vollander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Birmingham Railers FC were awarded a corner. Ugo Fantozzi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Birmingham Railers FC's Ugo Fantozzi to fire away a dangerous shot which Johan Vollander despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Academia B.F.'s Wiliam Carioca got a free kick in the 56th minute. Wiliam Carioca struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Betinho de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia B.F.. In the 64th match minute, Academia B.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Porfirio to maneuver through the defense. Lauro Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Academia B.F. made a substitution. Michel Totti replaced Primo Sans. Birmingham Railers FC's Deivid Ferreira was substituted for Ugo Fantozzi. Academia B.F.'s João Francisco Fontes was substituted for Wiliam Carioca. Anakoz Amer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Betinho de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Totti in the 75th minute of play. Michel Totti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Betinho de Azevedo having to make a save. In the 78th minute Michel Totti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes, Wen Yin Zhen made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Academia B.F.'s Johan Vollander tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Deivid Ferreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johan Vollander was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Johan Vollander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Ferreira in the 95th minute of play. The Birmingham Railers FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Birmingham Railers FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
