The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Vascogoianiense FC from getting a goal against them. If Aírton Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Nelsinho Leite successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Birmingham Railers FC were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Vascogoianiense FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ugo Fantozzi took the corner. 17 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Önder Aksakal. Ugo Fantozzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Önder Aksakal in the 37th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelsinho Leite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wen Yin Zhen's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Vascogoianiense FC's Ulysses Perez was substituted for 康渊霆. After a rather tough play, Birmingham Railers FC's Luizão Alagoano got a free kick in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wen Yin Zhen was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wen Yin Zhen in the 51st minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's João Pirani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Betinho de Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58thth minute of the game Wen Yin Zhen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Aírton Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vascogoianiense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aírton Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betinho de Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Birmingham Railers FC's Önder Aksakal in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vascogoianiense FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Aírton Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Vascogoianiense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aírton Sousa couldn't finish the play. Ulysses Pernambucano hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Betinho de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aírton Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Betinho de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The audience was convinced that Önder Aksakal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nelsinho Leite was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute Önder Aksakal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelsinho Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Birmingham Railers FC's Betinho de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Birmingham Railers FC from getting a goal against them. In the 90th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilmar Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anakoz Amer in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Vascogoianiense FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Birmingham Railers FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
