Lorien Tros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, A.S.Saint Ethiene's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Cunha came free, but Lorien Tros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorien Tros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After 8 played minutes Militros F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Howard Layfield. The supporters of A.S.Saint Ethiene booed when Militros F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Regis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Vergílio got free with Gerd Pollmann in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Utoh Bachdim in the 13th minute of play forced Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper Gerd Pollmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Militros F.C.'s Cosimo Tagliente got a free kick in the 13th minute. Sandrinho Cunha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lorien Tros having to make a save. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Paulão Freire sped through A.S.Saint Ethiene's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lorien Tros. Utoh Bachdim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerd Pollmann having to interfere. Militros F.C.'s Gerd Pollmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Williams in the 20th minute of play. Håkan Molin kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Gerd Pollmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Kjellqvist in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evert Skräddare in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lorien Tros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sandrinho Cunha sped through A.S.Saint Ethiene's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lorien Tros. After the first half Militros F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Utoh Bachdim to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Militros F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Gerd Pollmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Molin in the 53rd minute of play. Gerd Pollmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Kjellqvist in the 57th minute of the match. When Wanderson Valencia came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Militros F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wanderson Valencia couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Cosimo Tagliente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lorien Tros made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Ronaldão Silva sent off a good shot on target. Gerd Pollmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Williams in the 65th minute of play. Militros F.C.'s Wanderson Valencia got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute Wanderson Valencia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorien Tros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Militros F.C.'s Cosimo Tagliente got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Militros F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sandrinho Cunha in the 84th minute. The corner led Militros F.C.'s Cosimo Tagliente to fire away a dangerous shot which Lorien Tros despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandrinho Cunha got free with Lorien Tros in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Molin in the 90th minute of play forced Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper Gerd Pollmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 0-3 became the score in the 92nd minute when Wanderson Valencia elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Radomil Olejasz's late challenge caught a Militros F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radomil Olejasz helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.S.Saint Ethiene! 97 minutes into the match, A.S.Saint Ethiene's goalkeeper Lorien Tros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wanderson Valencia. The Militros F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
