In the 28th minute, Poul Stanković hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Vila Nova GO's goalkeeper Celsinho Capixaba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Poul Stanković. After a rather tough play, Vila Nova GO's Fiori Vianna got a free kick in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Poul Stanković sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celsinho Capixaba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Poul Stanković received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Celsinho Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celsinho Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bjørn Ironside in the 70th minute of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game João Vítor Souto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube Audax Metropolitano's Santo Lano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santo Lano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Souto in the 73rd minute of the match. Vila Nova GO's Celsinho Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bjørn Ironside in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vila Nova GO had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
