The supporters of SC Bertioga booed when Real Cruzeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo de Lima in the 18th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubinho de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Elg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inácio Mandrak's late challenge caught a SC Bertioga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Mandrak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, Real Cruzeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. Vivaldo Carmona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Rubinho de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Troiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 30 minutes Real Cruzeiro FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Serafim Queiroz who took care of the corner kick. A hard and well directed shot from Serafim Queiroz led 30 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-3. In the 32nd match minute, SC Bertioga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Drăgănoiu to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Benedito Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Pombal in the 39th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Anderson Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rubinho de Amaral was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Gildo de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Rubinho de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruninho Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nelson de Lima in the 43rd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vivaldo Carmona was the one to do the kick off. Rubinho de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Elg in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute, Ronaldo Nazário De Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, SC Bertioga's Rubinho de Amaral threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anderson Pombal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Bertioga's Anderson Pombal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rubinho de Amaral. That made the score 0-4 after 61 minutes of play. In the 64th minute, Anderson Pombal made a precise shot to the right of Rubinho de Amaral. Real Cruzeiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After 66 minutes, Benedito Coelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Bertioga and the Real Cruzeiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benedito Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Pombal in the 70th minute of play. Rubinho de Amaral was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Anderson Pombal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anderson Pombal really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. 75 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Troiano came free, but Rubinho de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Alf Elg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubinho de Amaral. Real Cruzeiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alf Elg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. With a little luck, Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral got control of the ball when Anderson Pombal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th play minute Alf Elg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rubinho de Amaral. 0-8. After a defensive mix-up in SC Bertioga's zone, Vivaldo Carmona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Vaz came out of the goal and Vivaldo Carmona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nelson de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Bertioga were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
