In the 11th minute Hamilton Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Select Player getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Agnaldo Coelho hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's Baltazar Zonta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jailson Antunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Real Cruzeiro FC booed when Select Player was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamilton Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selçuk Ülger in the 59th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Selçuk Ülger came free, but Rubinho de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Real Cruzeiro FC defense, Giovani Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubinho de Amaral. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubinho de Amaral should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Select Player had played much better football throughout.
