Abel Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Batista in the 90th minute of play forced WAU team's goalkeeper Benjamim Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes, Luiz Fernando de Toledo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the WAU team and the ContraVersão players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, WAU team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durvalino Netto to maneuver through the defense. Benjamim Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ContraVersão fully deserved thier win.
