After some careless play in the Júbilo Iwata defense, Pong Kula kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giovanni Pena. The Júbilo Iwata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovanni Pena should have stopped the shot. Giovanni Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bieito Cubas, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 28th minute, Bieito Cubas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Goren ran back to his position shaking his head. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bieito Cubas couldn't finish the play. Atlético Letal were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Júbilo Iwata for a fine match.
