If Rogelio Funes Mori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 10 minutes, Rogelio Funes Mori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 20 de Abril's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Funes Mori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gugu Gaúcho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rogelio Funes Mori went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The 20 de Abril fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when 20 de Abril's Rogelio Funes Mori looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Funes Mori in the 23rd minute of play forced Barra Funda F.C's goalkeeper Gugu Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rogelio Funes Mori came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the 20 de Abril fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Funes Mori couldn't finish the play. Mané Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Tróia in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Rogelio Funes Mori got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, 20 de Abril's Eduardo Maranhense got a free kick in the 31st minute. Barra Funda F.C's Gugu Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Corrêa in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute Rogelio Funes Mori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gugu Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Rogelio Funes Mori left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 20 de Abril fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Barra Funda F.C's zone, Álvaro de Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gugu Gaúcho came out of the goal and Álvaro de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Rogelio Funes Mori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 20 de Abril's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Funes Mori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half 20 de Abril were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Rogelio Funes Mori made the kick off in the second half. 20 de Abril's Rogelio Funes Mori got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 de Abril made a substitution. Gugu Gaúcho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 0-7 became the score in the 65th minute when Robinho Freire elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gugu Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho Freire in the 72nd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Barra Funda F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Freire came free, but Gugu Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 de Abril's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luan Zanette in the 76th minute. 20 de Abril's Váldson Barral was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gugu Gaúcho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Robinho Freire's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gugu Gaúcho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Robinho Freire dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gugu Gaúcho, 0-8. After having played for 87 minutes, Robinho Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 20 de Abril's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robinho Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gugu Gaúcho didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when 20 de Abril's Robinho Freire shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-9 in the ordered_time% minute. Gugu Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robinho Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Barra Funda F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. 20 de Abril were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
