But to his dismay, Serafim Bastos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Agnaldo Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th match minute, Barra Funda F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Tasso to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Barra Funda F.C booed when Real Knit United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes Barra Funda F.C got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe Negri. In the 27th minute João Vítor da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gugu Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barra Funda F.C's Gugu Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Bastos in the 28th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barra Funda F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Knit United the free kick. After 29 played minutes Barra Funda F.C got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Freire. João Vítor da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor da Mata in the 30th minute of play forced Barra Funda F.C's goalkeeper Gugu Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gugu Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Bastos in the 32nd minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Real Knit United got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Borges. Gugu Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Bastos in the 36th minute of play. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Agnaldo Souto sped through Barra Funda F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gugu Gaúcho. Gugu Gaúcho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agnaldo Souto went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Real Knit United were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wesley Tróia made a kick off. Agnaldo Souto was extremely unlucky when he, in the 53rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Bastos in the 55th minute of play forced Barra Funda F.C's goalkeeper Gugu Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Barra Funda F.C's goalkeeper Gugu Gaúcho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Vítor da Mata. After 62 minutes of play, Real Knit United's Serafim Bastos made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gugu Gaúcho was left in no man's land by his defense there! 64 minutes into the match, Real Knit United's Agnaldo Souto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gugu Gaúcho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Norberto Goiano fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barra Funda F.C's protests and gave Norberto Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Barra Funda F.C's Norberto Goiano got a free kick in the 69th minute. A hard shot 70 in the game by João Vítor da Mata from a close distance when the talented Gugu Gaúcho managed to make a qualified save. Barra Funda F.C's players were relieved. Real Knit United's Antonio Quintun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Tróia in the 71st minute of play. Real Knit United's Fábio Sergipano was substituted for Moisés Gaspar. After 77 minutes, Angelo Mesquita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Knit United and the Barra Funda F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Angelo Mesquita hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Serafim Bastos made a precise shot to the right of Gugu Gaúcho. Barra Funda F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. 0-10 became the score in the 89th minute when Agnaldo Souto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some careless play in the Barra Funda F.C defense, Serafim Bastos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gugu Gaúcho. The Barra Funda F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gugu Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. The Barra Funda F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Real Knit United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
