Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Oscar Saldanha successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Caco Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson Mandrak in the 8th minute of play. With a little luck, Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha got control of the ball when Caco Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caco Barbosas short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Oscar Saldanha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 12 minutes into the match, Joachim Svenkerud had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Saldanha. Squadra Demarchi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joachim Svenkerud was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 18th minute, Joachim Svenkerud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Mandrak in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Palmeiras - Tia Leila's Genílson Mandrak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Saldanha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Caco Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Oscar Saldanha made a huge save. In the 41st minute Genílson Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Genílson Mandrak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th match minute, Squadra Demarchi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Moura to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caco Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Oscar Saldanha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Caco Barbosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oscar Saldanha was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 54 minutes into the game, Nelson Vidal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Squadra Demarchi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmeiras - Tia Leila the free kick. Nelson Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Caco Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmeiras - Tia Leila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caco Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oscar Saldanha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caco Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Oscar Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caco Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the game, Joachim Svenkerud cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Oscar Saldanha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Palmeiras - Tia Leila's Richard de Senna was substituted for Olívio Sá. Palmeiras - Tia Leila's Joachim Svenkerud managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nilson Corrêa in the 74 minute of the game. Genílson Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Saldanha having to interfere. Caco Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Oscar Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmeiras - Tia Leila. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Mandrak in the 78th minute of play forced Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Oscar Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Palmeiras - Tia Leila were awarded a corner. Genílson Mandrak went to the cornerflag to take it. Palmeiras - Tia Leila's Genílson Mandrak was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Oscar Saldanha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Oscar Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joachim Svenkerud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Saldanha came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Palmeiras - Tia Leila's Luizinho Quadros. But to his dismay, Luizinho Quadros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Palmeiras - Tia Leila fully deserved thier win.
