The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yan do Valle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlinhos Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ubatuba's goalkeeper Yan do Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cecilio Manny scored 1-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Maria Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yan do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 37 played minutes Ubatuba got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho de Lima. José Maria Souza came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Ubatuba's Edvaldo Trevisan. But to his dismay, Edvaldo Trevisan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. José Maria Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per-Arne Delin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
