An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Madureira in the 7th minute of play forced Planet Caravan's goalkeeper Jonathan Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes Planet Caravan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kauan Melo who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Jano Saraiva heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 12th minute, Nilmar Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Taraborrelli having to interfere. Kauan Melo's late challenge caught a Planet Caravan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kauan Melo helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes BOTAFOGO got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Melo. In the 18th minute, Toninho Madureira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BOTAFOGO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jonathan Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Planet Caravan got a freekick which was hit by William Hoffmann. In the 26th minute, Kauan Melo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Planet Caravan's Jonathan Teixeira didn't even have to move. Erasmo Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erasmo Leão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Planet Caravan got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Leão. In the 34th minute, Édouard Deloge made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Teixeira. Planet Caravan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Zeca Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Alfonso Taraborrelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, BOTAFOGO's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Félix came free, but Alfonso Taraborrelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serginho Félix in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Taraborrelli saved BOTAFOGO from getting behind. 46 minutes into the match, Édouard Deloge notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Planet Caravan's Jonathan Teixeira. Jonathan Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Planet Caravan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BOTAFOGO were winning 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serginho Félix to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Serginho Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Taraborrelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Planet Caravan's Jonathan Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaanek Oese in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Jaanek Oese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Planet Caravan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Édouard Deloge scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Teixeira, making the score, 0-6. The Planet Caravan fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Planet Caravan's Serginho Félix looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 66 minutes into the match, Planet Caravan's goalkeeper Jonathan Teixeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toninho Madureira. In the 67th minute BOTAFOGO were awarded a corner. Kauan Melo went to the cornerflag to take it. Jonathan Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Édouard Deloge in the 77th minute of play. BOTAFOGO's Toninho Madureira got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Toninho Madureira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Teixeira. Toninho Madureira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serginho Félix in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Taraborrelli saved BOTAFOGO from getting behind. BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serginho Félix in the 92nd minute of play. Toninho Madureira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Teixeira firmly grabbed it by the left post. Toninho Madureira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Teixeira came out and tried to block the shot, but Toninho Madureira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-9 in the 95th minute. BOTAFOGO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
